Title: Love Hate Sex Pain
Author: flamealchemist
Rating: PG [Violence x Angst]
Pairing: Riza x Envy
Lyrics: Love Hate Sex Pain - Godsmack
Disclaimer: Fullmetal Alchemist isn't mine, I just play in their playground from time to time... call it trespassing, but I love that world.
This is a story set in an alternate future. See: Twilight-Lament's post on "The Great and Terrible Future" http://twilight-lament.dreamwidth.org/4283.html Sometimes we just let these things run away with our brains.
Government crumbled. Military gained power again, but one had to wonder just who it was that caused it to crumble. Once again the Furher that had brought them false light was in charge. Envy hated the role. He turned his deep amythyst eyes towards his mock assistant. Just like before, Riza ran everything while Envy played the disguise of Roy Mustang. Yet now neither of them were what the pretended to be.
In this life I'm me,
Just sitting here alone
By the way I tried to say I'd be there
For you
Yet it wasn't her. Greed now controlled that body and his Captain was a long lost figment of his memories. She shot him a sharp look. "Stop sniveling over her." Greed said icily. Ironic. Those same words that he had spat at her about her dead Alchemist were now thrown back at him.
Walk the silent emptieness
That leads me by my hands
And throw away
What I don't understand, as a man
No answer came from Envy's lips. Instead he got to his feet and walked around his desk with the intent of exiting the room. Greed had other ideas. In the blink of an eye, the false Riza is standing before the false Roy with a devious smirk on her face. "Where do you think you are going?" Greed was faster, always had been. However Envy tried to make a break for it only to get slammed down hard against her desk, his face hitting something glass that shattered. After a moment he recognized it as the crystal vase he had gotten for her as a gift before their last speech together. Just another thing that was broken like his precious Captain.
Love-Hate-Sex-Pain
It's complicating me sometimes
This love-Hate-Sex-Pain
it's underestimated lies
"Did you love her Envy?" Carbon claws rip the uniform off of him and deep into the skin of his back, effectively hooking him as she tore through those circles on his back. Greed was never kind, no matter what incarnation, to Envy. They were the opposite yet the same. However he refused to scream. Envy wouldn't give Greed that satisfaction.
And I wonder as I tear away my skin
It's taken me so long to stitch
These wounds from where I've been
And mother please don't bury me
I'm begging for my life
It's hard to say that I will be complete
Before I die
In anger at the Homunculus' silence, Greed flipped Envy onto his back and leaned down so that the golden hair he had once admired spilled into his face. He looked up at those hate fueled purple eyes, still remembering the deep chocolate brown that he had seen so much rage and pain in.

"Did you love her?" Again those mocking words spill from Greed's lips with that sweet voice. Greed knew that searching look in Envy's eyes having seen it so many times before. If the real Riza, locked away, could only see this. Would she be flattered? or appauled? After all, Envy didn't know the meaning of love, let alone affection until those years he had worked at her side.
Don't you worry please
Don't you leave me
Because I surely slip away
Though love, hate, sex, and pain
I fall away into
Love, hate sex, and pain
No answer, not even a sound came from Envy. Green leaned in closer and pressed an all too light kiss against Envy's lips. A prelude to disaster. A pained sound escaped those lips as he felt Greed's other hand stab into his stomach, ripping up under his ribcage, those clawed fingers encircling that small red stone that was the Homunculus' heart. False blood and pained keens escaped Envy's lips and Greed drank it all up.

One hand lifted to Greed's cheek, yet the one word he spoke wasn't for Greed. "Riza...." Never for Greed. He felt that hand clentch in his chest. There were times when he thought Greed might finally destroy him, but he needed him, and lets face it. Greed was just too Greed to destroy something that she saw as hers.

This love-Hate-Sex-Pain
it's underestimated lies
With a disgusted sound, Greed let go of Envy's heart, but that was just the beginning of what she had planned for the blood Homunculus on her desk. She had no intention of stopping until Envy's cries were a chorus in empty unforgiving air.
