Title:  Forbidden Fruit

Author: -DC-  (flamealchemist)

Rating: PG-13

Pairing: Alucard (Hellsing) x Eric (OC)

Disclaimer: Hellsing isn't mine, I just play in their playground from time to time...  call it trespassing, but I love that world.

Week after endless week Eric remained at Millenium.   He did not appear to play the compliant soldier, but he did heed the Doktor's subtle warnings.  If he changed his demeanor to get along with too many of them the possibility was lit that they would grow suspicious.  He relaxed, sitting at the Doc's desk with a glass of what appeared to be wine rolling slightly between long slender fingertips.   He was not dressed as a Millennim soldier this time.  He was wearing all black like when he had been targeted.  His excuse was that the wool of the Wehrmacht uniform made his skin itch.  A small complaint for a vampire who could wipe out a Battalion without so much as flinching.

Now he looked to the sigils on the backs of his gloves.  Millenium was toying with dangerous magic in trying to change them.  The writing was unreadable, and his ties to Integra at certain moments were hard to feel as though a great fog rose up between them and muffled their connection.  The Doktor had changed two of the symbols in an attempt to force a manner of control over the young vampire.  The Doktor was insane, and a genious.  Perhaps if Eric understood more of what he had done  he would have retreated back to Hellsing.

"Still playing your dangerous games Eric."  The Doktor sighed behind him as he moved carefully into the room.  He knew the vampire only listened to him by a thin tether, one that should not be tested too far too soon.  Yet he was sure that the vampire knew the treachurous path he was walking.  "There are rumors about you.  Disconcerting ones.  Tell me, have you returned to Hellsing?"

Eric turned the chair around a rather droll expression on his visage.  "I stopped killing your soldiers.  I do not hunt civilians.  If I had returned to Hellsing, do you think you would be alive right now?"  He sniped in return.  After all his reputation had been building behind Alucards as the vampires progedy.

"Do not be too brash young man.  I am still your elder and commanding officer.  I am sure I would be alive, and you would not be."   It was a simple truth from insane lips as he smiled to Eric, knowing how it made the vampire twitch uneasily.

Eric rose from the chair.  "I'm going out."  He walked towards the nearest set of shadows.

"Don't venture too far.  I may call upon you."  He said flatly as the vampire disappeared, leaving him to his work.

His rendevous with Alucard could be violent, or gentle.  It often depended on the great Vampire's mood that day.  He knew he could twist the young thief around to his will.  Oh what power to hold over a person.  Yet it was not witless power.  Eric did it because he chose to, giving freely of himself in trust and affection.  The young thief always did have a submissive streak to him and it showed its strongest, but also weakest with Alucard.  This time was no different.

The greeted each other with gunfire.  A playful game to creatures who were almost impossible to kill.   The room stank of blood before their guns clattered to the floor.  Ominous laughter filled the room as the fight twisted in its complexity to hand to hand combat.  Eric found himself slammed hard against the stone wall, his arms pinned at his side, feet off of the ground, and Alucard's warm breath sliding up his neck before that wicked tongue traced a trail that made the young thief shudder.   A cruel grin touched Alucard's visage.  Oh yes, he knew how to make his lover squirm, twitch, beg.  "Tell me what you want..."  Alucard rumbled into the thief's ear.

Eric would not go down so easily.  He brought his legs up between them and kicked Alucard hard in the chest.  It made him let go, dropping Eric to the ground as he took a step back.  "Ohhh..."   It almost sounded like a questioning, or amusement.  Eric was on his feet, moving around the room quickly.  Trying to get the better of Alucard was next to impossible.  He was just that damn fast.   Yet Eric tried to tackle Alucard from behind.  One might think that the No Life King just let him have the opportunity to see what Eric would do with it.

As the two tumbled to the ground, Alucard's voice rumbled.  "Now what will you do?"   He felt Eric straddling him and then shift his weight and grab Alucard by the shoulder, flipping him over easily onto his back.   Gloved hands held onto Alucard's coat tightly as he leaned down pressing a hard kiss to Alucard's lips.  He had been kept away... kept busy... kept waiting.   Yet now he had what he wanted all to himself.

Alucards hands went to the thief's hips, shifting his position slightly with an unspoken promise of what was to come.  Eric was incredibly resilient against Alucard's advances.  Perhaps it was why they did well together.

Sitting back, Eric pulled off his gloves.  He hated them.  Tossing them aside, he reached his hands down to cup Alucard's cheeks.  Yet something was wrong...  the sigils were glowing brightly.  In fact they were starting to burn.  He removed his hands from Alucard's face to look down at his hands.   He hadnt noticed the burn immediately, but now they were warm to the touch almost like a human having just put their hand in hot water once they came in from the cold.  "That Bastard..."

Alucard watched him, reaching up to his hand and turning it to look at the sigil.  His gaze narrowed.  This mission had to come to an end or they risked losing their thief for real.  "They are trying to break the seal...  why did you not ask to come home?"    There was a solid edge as he got up, pulling the thief up with him.  Playtime was over between them as he moved into the shadows.  "Integra's office. Now."

He moved to follow Alucard... but before he got out... had he forgotten?   Doc said he would call upon him.  When Eric came out of the shadows, one hand was up, reaching for Alucard.   He was mid step and his body seemed to be freezing in place and those normally red sigils were turning blue.  "Al...u....ca---"   He looked like a statue and one had to really even wonder if the thief was in there at all anymore.   Then his body crumbled away, leaving only a blue sigil behind under the ash on the floor.

--------------

The Doctor sat at his desk, looking to the large sigil that was carved into his floor.  "I warned you Eric.  If you could not be trusted.... you would be dealt with."
